Who are we?
The Patriots for Europe group was founded on the principles outlined in the Vienna Manifesto, which served as the fundamental basis for establishing a strong patriotic force on the European political stage. With a commitment to national sovereignty and the rights of the citizens of the national states in Europe, the Patriots have emerged as a decisive power in shaping the future of Europe. Over time, more and more parties joined this patriotic movement, which ultimately established itself as a political group in the European Parliament in June 2024.
Following the European Parliament elections in June 2024, the Patriots have risen to become the third-largest group in the European Parliament, with 86 Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) from 14 delegations. This historic success reflects the growing support for a Europe of strong, independent nations that prioritize the will of their people.
The Patriots stand firmly for national sovereignty, secure borders, economic stability, and the protection of free speech. They advocate for independent decision-making by nations, oppose further centralization of power in the EU, and call for strict measures against illegal immigration to preserve cultural identity. Their vision includes economic policies that protect European businesses and households from high energy costs while ensuring freedom of speech remains untouchable by ideological pressures.

Bureau members
Kinga Gál (born September 6, 1970) has been a dedicated Member of the European Parliament (MEP) representing Hungary since 2004. She holds a law degree from Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). She currently serves as the First Vice-Chair of the Patriots for Europe Group and Vice-President of the Patriots.eu party. Since 2021, she also serves as Vice-President of FIDESZ - Hungarian Civic Union. She has previously held the role of Vice-Chair of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs from 2007 to 2019. A staunch defender of traditional Christian values, she consistently advocates for policies that protect family and faith within European society. As recognition of her work and impact in the European Parliament, she was honoured with an MEP Award in both 2008 and 2014.
She is currently a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, where she is also part of the DASE Delegation for relations with Southeast Asia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). She is the Honorary President of the Intergroup on Traditional Minorities, National Communities, and Languages as an expert in the field. Gál is married, and a proud mother of four sons.

Harald Vilimsky has been an MEP since 2014 and serves as Vice President of "Patriots for Europe." He is head of the delegation of the Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ) in the European Parliament and a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee. Previously, he was FPÖ Secretary-General (2006–2020) and served in Austria’s National Council (2006–2014) and Federal Council (2005–2006). In the 2024 EU elections, he and the FPÖ managed to win elections nationwide for the first time.

António Tânger Corrêa is a Member of the European Parliament (since 2024) and VP of "Patriots for Europe" and CHEGA. A former diplomat for over 40 years, he served in China, America, North Africa, and the Middle East. He holds a law degree, was awarded the Grand Cross of Merit by Portugal and Lithuania, and was an Olympic sailor.

Sebastiaan Stöteler is Vice-President of the Patriots and Delegation leader of the Dutch Party for Freedom (PVV). He was elected as Member of the European Parliament in 2024. Previously, he was a bailiff and served as a municipal councilor in Almelo (2018-2024) and a member of the Provincial Council of Overijssel (2022-2024).

Klára Dostálová is a Czech politician and expert in European funding, housing, and regional development. She has extensive experience in managing development projects and optimizing the use of EU funds. She began her career in the private sector before transitioning to public administration in Hradec Králové. In 2014, she became Deputy Minister for Regional Development, later serving as Minister for Regional Development from 2017 to 2021. During this time, she played a key role in shaping policies to support local municipalities, housing, and sustainable regional growth. From 2021 to 2024, she served as Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic. Since 2024, she has been a Member of the European Parliament, elected as the top candidate of ANO 2011 with the highest number of preferential votes in the history of Czech elections. She currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Patriots for Europe Group.

Born in Madrid in 1958, Hermann Tertsch has had a long career in journalism before entering politics with VOX. He worked as a correspondent, columnist, and opinion editor, covering major international events. He has also been a television and radio commentator. He is now Vice President of Patriots for Europe and an active member of the European Parliament.

Anders Primdahl Vistisen (born 1987) is a Danish politician from the Danish People’s Party. He holds a Master of Laws from Aarhus University. He served as a Member of the European Parliament (2014-2019, 2022-present) and was Public Affairs Director at Grace Public Affairs (2019-2022). He lives in Vridsted with his wife and three children.

Gerolf Annemans (born November 8, 1958), is a Flemish-nationalist politician for Vlaams Belang. After graduating in law in Antwerp, Annemans started a career as a journalist before opting for a calling as a politician. Elected to the Belgian Parliament in 1987 and chairing the delegation until 2013, Annemans is the longest serving member of parliament of Vlaams Belang. President of Vlaams Belang from 2012 to 2014, Annemans was elected to the European Parliament in 2014 and is an honorary president and member of the board of the Patriots for Europe Party.

Since 2019 Knotek has been an elected member of the European Parliament, engaged in energy, climate and public health policies. Before 2019, Ondrej Knotek worked as quality manager and auditor for corporate companies in the engineering and pharmaceutical sectors. He gained his first political experience as a council board member of the Mariánské Lázně town being responsible for energy, water, environment and audit activities. Knotek graduated from Chemical and process engineering at the University of Chemical Technology in Prague.

Filip Turek is a Member of the European Parliament elected in June 2024 with over 150.000 preferential votes. He is an entrepreneur, social media influencer, political commentator, automotive industry expert and former professional racing driver. Turek is an advocate of free market principles and a strong critic of Green Deal policies.

Tom Vandendriessche (born October 27, 1978), is a Flemish-nationalist politician for Vlaams Belang and head of the Vlaams Belang delegation since the current parliamentary term. After a career as business analyst, internal auditor for the Flemish government and entrepreneur, Mr Vandendriessche was elected MEP in 2019. Vandendriessche is also a member of the party bureau of Vlaams Belang.

Afroditi Latinopoulou, driven by her core values of Homeland, Religion, Family, and Free Market Economy, founded the party FONI LOGIKIS (Voice of Reason) in 2023. Her political journey quickly gained momentum, leading to her election to the European Parliament in 2024, where she now serves as President of FONI LOGIKIS and as a Bureau Member of the Patriots for Europe Group.

Tamás Deutsch (born July 27, 1966) is Head of the Fidesz-KDNP Delegation in the European Parliament. A founding member of Fidesz, he has served in numerous political positions before having been elected to the EP - he has been Member of the Hungarian National Assembly and Fidesz parliamentary group leader (1990-2009), Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly (2004-2006) Minister for Youth and Sport (1999-2002), Vice-President of Fidesz (1993-2003), to name a few. Since 2009, he has been a Member of the European Parliament.

Paolo Borchia is a political science graduate from the University of Padua. He started his career in the private sector, specifically in marble, and in 2010, he began working as an assistant to Lega MEP Lorenzo Fontana in the European Parliament. In 2016, he became a political adviser at the Europe of Freedom and Nations Group. From 2018 to 2024, he was the head of Lega’s International Department. Mr. Borchia has been serving as a Member of the European Parliament since 2019. Since December 2022, he has been the provincial secretary of Lega for Verona and deputy secretary for the Veneto region. After being reelected as an MEP in 2024, he became the head of the Lega delegation at the European Parliament.

Vilis Krištopans (born June 13, 1954) is a former Latvian basketball player, coach, businessman and politician. He founded a basketball school, a German-Latvian bank and a number of companies. He was the Prime Minister of Latvia, Minister of Transport, Minister of State Revenue and a member of the Latvian Saeima. Since 2024 — Member of the European Parliament, the Patriots for Europe political group. Co-founder of the party "Latvia First", previously — co-founder of "Latvian Way".

Anna Bryłka – head of the Polish delegation in the Patriots group. Vice-president of the National Movement, director of European affairs for the Confederation of Freedom and Independence party, author of the party's agricultural program. Specialist in foreign trade. She graduated from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań with degrees in Law and History, and from the University of Warsaw with a degree in International Relations.

Born in Barcelona in 1975, Jorge Buxadé is married and a father of four. A State Attorney since 2003, he previously served as a second lieutenant in the Spanish Army. He was active in civic movements against separatism, engaging with organizations such as the Catalan Family Forum and SCC in its early days. He has been Vice President of VOX and has led the VOX delegation in the European Parliament since 2019.

Priorities
The Patriots for Europe Group emphasizes the importance of strong and independent nations, advocating for decisions to be made by individual nations rather than imposed by overarching EU structures. This includes rejecting further transfers of sovereignty to European institutions.
Europe must take decisive action to secure its borders and halt illegal immigration. This is essential to maintaining cultural identity and responding to the will of the majority of its citizens, ensuring a stable and prosperous future.
Energy and climate policies must be changed in order to protect European households and businesses. High energy prices and bureaucratic burdens are causing competitiveness loss, leading to deindustrialisation, transfer of jobs outside the EU and impoverishment.
A pledge to uphold genuine freedoms and human dignity while opposing attempts to redefine or restrict these rights under political or ideological pressure.
