MOTORISTE
Motoristé sobě (Motorists for Themselves), led by Petr Macinka, was founded in 2022 as a right-wing response to urban anti‑car policies, defending motorists' rights and transportation freedom. Originally a Eurosceptic movement from 2017, it transformed to protect drivers’ interests from what it sees as excessive environmental regulations. In 2024, in coalition with Přísaha, it secured two seats in the European Parliament, marking its breakthrough. This success established it as a prominent political force. The party opposes the EU’s combustion engine ban, euro adoption, and veto abolition, while promoting affordable public transport, national sovereignty, and supporting president Václav Klaus’ conservative principles.
