Freiheitliche Partei Österreich
The Austrian Freedom Party (FPÖ) is a traditional party rooted in the 1848 civil revolution. Since 1956, it has been a key voice for freedom, patriotism and self-determination, representing and defending the interests of Austrians as the sole patriotic party. The FPÖ has participated in five federal governments and now governs four states. Under Herbert Kickl, in 2024 it won national and European elections, establishing itself as the leading party. It currently holds 57 seats in the Austrian Parliament and six in the European Parliament, advocating for Austrian identity, a strong Europe of nations, and a ‘No Way’ policy on illegal migration.
